Katrina

Our hearts go out to the thousands of people across the Gulf Coast who have lost so much. Coop's Place is proud to be part of New Orleans and will be here throughout the rebuilding process and beyond.

Hours: 11AM to CLOSE

A Decatur Street staple since 1983, Coop's Place re-opened after the storm in early October 2005, and we are serving nearly all our pre-Katrina menu items.

We are looking forward to welcoming all our regulars - both local and from out of town - back to the city, and our establishment. We missed you as much as you missed us.

You can continue to find updated information about Coop's employees and our "bar family" at Chuck Roger's web site.

Clarence's Taste of New Orleans

Clarence Hill started washing dishes at Coop's Place when he was 15 and worked his way up to chef. He is now head chef at his own restaurant in Edgewood, MD, a suburb of Baltimore. Check out the review of the restaurant in the Baltimore Sun. Way to go, Clarence!
